Spring has sprung and with it comes a busy events schedule around Piqua and Miami County! Farmers’ markets, art festivals, home and gardens shows—you’ll find it all on the calendar.

Take a look at a few of the top upcoming events around the Piqua area, and enjoy this beautiful spring weather with the rest of the community.

2nd Street Market

What: Hosted at the Five Rivers MetroParks in the historical freight house, the 2nd Street Market is filled with fresh and local fruit, veggies, and more. The market was modeled after European open-air markets and boasts tons of vendors and a lively atmosphere.

While the market is open year-round, springtime is one of the best chances to take advantage of a busy growing season and stock up on fresh produce!

DPVA Designers Show House & Gardens 2019

What: The Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association has been putting on Show House events for 40 years now. This year’s Show House, the Leland House, is a truly stunning Grand Tudor just off of the Wegerzyn Gardens and dating back to the 1920s.

The Show House will offer a few special events over the weeks that it’s in operation, including Food Trucks, Designer Days, and even High Tea!

Taste of the Arts

What: Dubbed as the “Official Kickoff to Summertime in Miami,” Taste of the Arts is full of food, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and more! All of Downtown Piqua will be packed with tons of things to do, see, and explore, and you won’t want to miss out!

When: May 10th, 5pm – 9pm

Miami County Gourmet Food Truck Rally & Competition

What: Looking to get all of your culinary cravings satisfied? The Food Truck Rally & Competition brings all of the best flavors of Miami County to one place, whether it’s savory main courses or sweet and light desserts.

In addition to all of the tasty bites, there will also be tons of live entertainment and activities for attendees to enjoy.

When: May 18th, 11am – 9pm

Piqua Community Farmers’ Market

What: If you don’t want to trek all the way into Dayton for your fresh and local goods, then check out the Piqua Community Farmer’s Market! The market kicks off at the end of May and will be heading into its 11th season of operation. Support local businesses, and check off your grocery list!

Where: High Street in Front of the Fort Piqua Plaza

When: Thursdays, 3:30pm – 6:30pm
